About

Dino D’Ambrosio was born in Rome in 1963.

The fact that his parents were both academics shaped his personality by getting him interested in theoretical and scientific speculation.

While studying at the University of Rome, he begun to collaborate with some of the major Italian artists in important record productions, and specialised in digital mixing long before the compact disc came out.

In 1988 he founded the biggest digital mastering studio of the time, “Audiologic”, where he made some of the most important masterings of Italian and international artists.

The acoustic design of the Audiologic studio can be considered as the first acoustic design project he carried on and realised.

At the same time, he founded an acoustic design company, “Audio Progetti”, with which he designed and built studios for the most important customers in Italy.

In 2000 he started his activity as a film studio designer and in the following 3 years he realised some of the greatest cinema mixing rooms in the country.

In 2002 he designed and realised the “Oliveta Recording Studios”, property of the Italian singer Laura Pausini, where international artists such as Madonna, Bono Vox, Luciano Pavarotti and many others have performed.

In 2004 he started collaborating with the Technicolor group, for which he designed studios in Rome, Pinewood, New York and Madrid. These projects sealed up his reputation as international studio designer.

He started working for broadcasting agencies in 2006, and realised projects for Sky and Fox all over Europe.

After the opening the operative branch in Los Angeles in 2012, he has realised major studios for the one of the main American broadcasting agencies, 20th Century Fox.

He currently lives in Rome, his favourite city, where he dedicates himself to his family.
